Macallan Edition No. 3 is the third release in their experimental “Edition” series. In this “Edition”, Macallan teamed up with a perfumer to help put together the aroma. They don’t provide a whole lot of non-wanky information, so lets instead just see what it tastes like.

Setting: Unblind

Nose: Marmalade, strawberries and cream, nutmeg and vanilla. There’s some restrained complexity here, but you really have to search for it.
Palate: Chocolate milk, pomegranate, red apple. Light.
Finish: Marmalade and red apple, fruity. Medium to short length.
Overall: Very light, pretty and fruity, I can see what they were going for here. On the other hand, you really have to search out the complexity. I can understand liking this, but I can also understand wanting to drink something else.
