Ron Millonario Reserva Especial 15

Ron Millonario Reserva Especial 15

Ron Millonario 15 is Millonario’s standard rum, and is the most easily accessible of their line. It is said to be an hommage to the way Zacapa 23 used to be in the 90s/2000s when it was winning awards and Diageos paws were nowhere to be seen. This is very apparent when you compare the packaging of Millonario 15 and early Zacapa 23. There’s no real use comparing the age statements of these rums, because Solera age statements mean next to nothing anyway. Millionario have taken most of their cues from Zacapa, bottling it at basement proof and backsweetening. Mercifully it is only backsweetened about a quarter as much as Zacapa 23 (5g/L vs 21.3g/L). Let’s see how it tastes.
